Become Part of World Unite!

World Unite! is a German-based organization dedicated to intercultural exchange and global learning. They offer volunteering, internships, and working holiday programs around the world. Since August 2022, World Unite! has been running a marine and coastal conservation program in Matemwe/Kigomani, Zanzibar. Through close cooperation with Under the Wave and other leading environmental organizations, international volunteers can contribute directly to conservation efforts while gaining invaluable field experience.

Your Marine Conservation Experience

With the support of marine conservation biologists and volunteers you take part in a structured program of daily activities, including:

- Diving at our coral nursery (additional cost)
- Coral monitoring at Mnemba Atoll
- Turtle conservation – relocating nests and releasing hatchlings (January–March only)
- Dolphin behavior research

These hands-on activities allow volunteers to engage deeply with Zanzibar’s marine environment while supporting long-term conservation initiatives.
