Internship for University Students

Join our team in Zanzibar!

Our partner NGO, Under the Wave Organisation (UTW), was founded in 2020 and is dedicated to marine conservation in Zanzibar. UTW combines community awareness and education with hands-on initiatives such as coral nurseries, dolphin behavioral studies, sea turtle protection, and alternative income projects for local fishermen.

Our Projects

Currently, we run the following projects:

  • Sea Turtle Conservation & Nesting Center
  • Coral Nursery & Artificial Reefs
  • Environmental Education Program for Local Schools
  • Dolphin Behavioral Project
  • Reef Monitoring Program
  • Fishermen Livelihood Program
  • Sustainable Tourism

Our Mission

UTW was founded out of concern for the declining marine biodiversity. Our aim is to share knowledge, raise awareness within the community, and educate local students. Together, we work towards a future where humans and oceans exist in balance.
